Land Matters performed the role of Contract Manager throughout the project, overseeing tasks such as obtaining Building Consent, conducting the tender process, assigning a contract (identified as NZS3901), managing contractors and suppliers, finalising the contract and approving progress claims, obtaining CCC, and receiving sign-off from MOE and MOH
Throughout the project, managing the needs of many stakeholders was a key focus due to the various requirements needed to certify the Early Childcare Centre. It was essential to engage with the Client, Architect, Local authority, MOE, MOH, and Developer early on, as Backyard Kids was located in a new development area that was still under construction, overseen by Land Matters. This was a critical step, especially considering the deadline for the project and the upcoming policy change by MOE regarding the Early Childcare Centre.
